Choose the AMI (Amazon machine Image)

Choose Instance Type

Sign in to VPS
To get into the VPS that we create on top of Windows, I chose to use the free terminal putty, download here.
Before connect to VPS, we need to convert the file .pem that we download. Open PuTTYgen, File > Load Private Key, select all files (.*) for this type of file, and search *pem file that we already downloaded.
After that, click save private key, click yes to without additional password, and save files with the extension. ppk.
To login to the VPS we will open Putty, enter the IP address of the ECS with a choice of port 22. Then from the options menu category on the left side, select SSH > Auth, and there will be an option to choose the directory ppk key file. Browse and enter the ppk file that we just created.

Select open to enter into the VPS. Username depends on the AMI or the OS that we select on when you set up EC2, if I choose Ubuntu, then my username is ubuntu.
